Faith, Heart, Hustle

Why do I have faith?

When you have almost died three times, but you're here still standing, there has to be a purpose.

I had to trust God when he told me, it wasn't my time to die, that I had lots of things to do.

So when I woke up from my bicycle accident at the age of 18 years, I had faith and trust that my dream to be a professional skater was going to happen.

This was not easy. I had to step up my training especially since the accident. I never whined that I was tired after skating 6 hours a day.

I knew in my heart that it was necessary to hustle and put in the training with running 5 miles every other day after starting work at Dunkin Donuts at 5:00am.

This was huge. I skated professionally with Dorothy Hamill and traveled from east coast to west coast. It was my dream job, traveling and skating. It was a great experience to stretch myself with not only physical challenges, but mental challenges as well.

When you are out there on the ice you have to be very precise with your turns and spins. One false move you could break your neck.

So I promise you that if you have a dream, faith and hustle will get you what you so desire. You can't expect instant gratification.

You must be 100% committed to staying curious.

I promise if you follow this curiosity with an open faithful heart, God willing, you will be on your path.

If you are willing to get your uniform dirty, do what's necessary with a little hustle. Magic will happen, miracles are manifested.

Who would ever have thought a woman over 40 years old would go back to school and receive a 4.0 GPA, even though she was diagnosed with a learning disability?

This same woman built a health & wellness business that has healed thousands of people over the past 20+ years.

This same woman bought her condominium at the peak of the market in 2004. 12 years later this same woman is now a renting this same condominium, building equity towards her retirement.

I am this woman who had faith in my dreams and that something extraordinary was going to happen, even though at times I couldn't even fully understand how and why?

I would love to hear your beautiful story of your sacred path.

What is your souls purpose?

Sometimes I am Squeezing to get exercise into my day!!

Running to the next thing! Can you relate?

What's the point?

Why go to the gym?

Are we creating healthy patterns?

Are we being mindless?

Are we being kind?

How can we create a lifestyle that is balanced?

When our world judges us and shames us.

Every day we wake up with this idea of How we want to become this or that!

Our feet hit the ground we are racing to beat the clock!

Instead of just being with the clock.

Allowing our mind to observe what is up for us?

Are you sore?

Are you energized?

Are you Sad?

Are you excited?

When do you tap into what you are feeling?

Not what you have or need to do!

Life has so many have to's.

This is my Why?

Why get out of bed?

What's your soul purpose?

How do you want to Feel?

The desire map talks about this with Danielle Laporte. We are here on this planet to feel and experience things.

We are here to be students and teachers for each other.

Are we all looking for the same things?

To be heard, loved, in love, to make a difference.

Be kind, compassionate, live a life of vulnerability and bravery?

How does one do this?

One Day at A Time!

This is what life has taught me.

The big trick is that society creates this illusion of Shiny Object Syndrome.

If you're Rich & Smart you are in control of what you want.

If you plan, work hard, save for that rainy day you'll be able to live that lifestyle you always dreamed of.

You get to decide, Are you getting this?

Allowing & experience so you can feel joy in the simple things in life, or life will be a blink of an eye.

Vortex of no clock!

Time has never been my a strength. It's amazing to me how long things actually take. I always wonder where the time would go? I tell my husband that I am a free spirited.

As a sucesssful business owner I have made time work for me. I figured out that I would run about 10 minutes off schedule. So I set all my clocks about 10 minutes ahead. Over time I would remember that I did this so I would end up being late. I pretty much told my friends and clients that I run about 5-10 minutes late, so that they wouldn't think that I forgot about them.

But a couple of months ago I went to a class that I really wanted to take. I had been late for this class about 10 minutes. When I go there I realized that the teacher was not going to let me into the class. I felt really horrible. I realized that I really didn't want to continue playing this dance of being late and feeling stressed out. What I realized is that I was addicted to being late. It made me feel imporant. Is it funny when you learn something about your self it always comes back and bites you right in the Gut. I had noticed that my lower back and stomach was hurting after this incident. My clients, family, friends all love and accept me for who I am. I have a successful business over a decade of people I have been mentored, taught, guided, empowered to find their own power center. But I want more for myself and for them as well. So I have made a decision that I will do everything in my power not to be late. Not only that I will be at least on time or 15 -30 minutes early. This has been really fun and what I have learned that I was creating my own suffering and spreading it out.

My friends , clients family, like this change not because of how it makes them feel but they see that I am more calm, centered. Plus an added bonus I am learning I am not the only one that runs late! Pretty funny since I am early or on time other people run late as well. But I don't judge them because I have been there before. I have compassion for them and try to accomadate them with love and kindness. This has been very enlightening to me. This time vortex warp blends into other parts of my life. Now I am learning about boundaries. I have always been a very relaxed, casual person. But now that I am watching the clock I have a tightness in my neck and throat area. Love being a meditaor because I get to feel think about how my body is feeling.

Recently I had to end a couple of bartering relationships because of the time vortex warp. I felt that the respect was not there anymore so I ended the relationship with loving kindness.

No one was hurt nothing fell apart the relationship had change. It made sense to both of us. We are still friends and can work together. We still buy services from each other or not.

I hope this was entertaining for you and that you learned that it's okay to give yourself permission to stop certain behaviors that are not serving you and everyone around you. Change is good , yes it's scary but like most wise people that have lived on the earth longer than both you and I.

“You’ll learn, as you get older, that rules are made to be broken. Be bold enough to live life on your terms, and never, ever apologize for it. Go against the grain, refuse to conform, take the road less traveled instead of the well-beaten path. Laugh in the face of adversity, and leap before you look. Dance as though EVERYBODY is watching. March to the beat of your own drummer. And stubbornly refuse to fit in.” Mandy Hale

No one is better than being me than myself!

Do you ever say to yourself?

What's the point?

No one is going to want to hear what I have to say!

Someone else has already wrote that story?

As you know I have been creating and teaching my clients on the manifestation of Joy!

A couple of months ago I felt stuck in my message that I was conveying, So I called my coach Julia Slike and we ended up having a dance party over Zoom.. Dancing, moving to music helps me get in tuned to my souls purpose.

My natural state is being happy and joyful…I rarely feel depressed. Most of my clients that I work with, are usually in some type of physical pain. It's my job in a loving way is to connect the "DOTS" here.

Your physical symptoms are very real, but sometimes there we are not aligned mind, body, and spirit.

Watch your thoughts and reactions to things. If you keep saying negative things than negative things will keep happening.

If you don't honor your body and take little breaks during your day. You are going to wreck yourself.

Pain in your neck or low back just doesn't appear mysteriously. The more awareness in your own posture,
when driving, walking, talking on your iPhone, or texting you're less likely to get that sharp pain in your neck or back.

Even if you are aware of your body posture and movements throughout your day, you still need to take breaks and stretch, go for a walk outside in nature, even if it's snowing. That fresh air is invigorating.

If you are new to the Julian Method… I love to use my voice to …teach, guide others' how the power of kindness connects us to Joy.

"Kindness is not simply a social nicety. It is what connects us as human beings." The Power Of Kindness retreat (

The Dali Lama’s motto: “My religion is kindness.” One of the biggest things my mother and father taught us is being kind.

My mom use to say " If you have nothing nice to say! Then say nothing at all!

This is vibrated with me my whole life. What's interesting is that people are always so surprised that I am usually saying something so positive.

When people first meet me, they are suspicious that I might have some hidden agenda. But over time they realize this is a genuine trait.

I learned to use my voice when I went back to school after I got divorced. I remember vividly the classroom and teacher that I adored.

She wrote on the chalkboard the very first day. KNOWLEGE IS POWER, YOUR VOICE MATTERS, YOU ARE HEARD!

This became a magic wand that would sprinkle fairy dust over me when I felt someone trying to stop me from using my voice.

Ever since that day I love to share this with other young women that are afraid to speak up and share their voice.

My daughter learned this from me and know works in human resources as an amazing communicator.

My Inner voice is my souls work calling me to continue to be a teacher and guide of Joy Empowerment!

What are you saying to yourself?

How are you using your voice?

Remember your words manifest your reality!

Back on track theme

Well, I lost my way this past winter.

My parents, who are both 84 years old, started needing more attention. Initially, it was my dad's first surgery that kicked things off and then the second one really put me over the edge.

Yes, the health care practitioner who preaches healthy eating fell off the wagon, gained 10 pounds and ended up feeling uncomfortable and bloated.

Now, I am back on track, and eating and drinking greens.

My best friend went to a raw food workshop and came back with a wealth of knowledge, which she has kindly shared with me.

What I found most interesting about her journey, as she calls it, is that it is not just about eating RAW food, it is really about WHY we don't want to be kind to ourselves.

Is it about never having time to make and eat the food that will help us feel good? Are we overwhelmed; do we feel alone on this path?

This is why I have decided to make this a very intrical part of my life. (By the way, I know the word INTRICAL is not in the dictionary, though it does appear in some urban dictionaries. This doesn’t stop me from using it. You see I make up words all of the time. It’s one of my quirky personality traits you will hopefully, grow to love!)

So, the next time you feel overwhelmed about having your next meal or snack, just think about what kind of foods you would offer to a small child who loved to eat. When you own food choices, treat yourself with the same loving kindness that you would this child.  Please let me know in the comments how you know when you’re not on track and what you do to get back on them!
